indpdndnt identity 2024→ 2025
INDPNDNT is an organization founded in Paris, where independent artists find support, creative initiatives are nurtured in a favorable environment, and collaborations become a source of new ideas and innovation.

The project’s identity is designed to convey a sense of institutionality while preserving a spirit of independence and freedom. It reflects a strong community and close connections, while remaining flexible and dynamic, with plenty of room for maneuver.
The core of the visual identity is the logo, where regular and italic letterforms alternate. This simple device serves as a metaphor — we are self-sufficient and independent from one another, yet we are together. The version with the micro-mark “IN” introduces an additional layer of meaning — I’m in!
This approach gives words a distinct, slightly offbeat rhythm, softening their rigidity while conveying a sense of experimentation and playfulness. At the same time, the surrounding visual environment remains fairly structured and predictable.

The style is built on this balance between expressive typographic accents and an accessible, grounded envirment — fully reflecting the core concept of the project.
As the association develops its own projects — such as a festival and smaller ongoing events — the core elements of the visual identity are carried into their branding. This is primarily expressed through typography, which can be integrated across various mediums, including patterns, 3D graphics, and illustrations.
This graphic was developed specifically for INDPNDNT FSTVL in Paris. Its visual language is based on a mix of objects that have passed through multiple stages of AI generation and manual modification, making their original source and clear belonging to either a craft or digital environment intentionally ambiguous.
In more intimate events, such as the come IN party series, a freer interpretation of the core typographic principles is allowed. Lowercase characters appear here, yet the fundamental approach remains at the core of the style.
