škart store identity → 2025
Škart is a small shop in the center of Belgrade where you can buy vinyl records, books from independent publishers, have a coffee or something stronger, and at night it starts operating like a Berlin Späti. It is a meeting point for people who are interested in music, independent culture, and rare types of alcohol. In the evenings, it hosts small DJ sets, concerts, and lectures.
Škart” means “defect” or “waste” in Serbian and also refers to a Belgrade-based art collective founded in the early 1990s, rooted in the visual and cultural legacy of Yugoslav design from the 1980s. The logo merges the aesthetics of imperfection with this distinctive Yugoslav visual language, a tradition that continues in the layouts.
